This statement contains the assumption that humans actually have the potential to know the truth independently. Choose between people who say “truth” and the truth itself is important, so that we are not biased in judging something. Not every thing that comes from someone we love or admire is true, and not all that comes from people we really hate is wrong. This is where the independence of thinking as well as the brilliance of a learner are challenged and examined. This also reinforces the popular phrase that exclaims, _”undzur maa qoola wa laa tandzur man qoola”_
The statement also does not mean that learning to teachers is not important. On the contrary, teachers in general is spread, from whoever and whatever. It’s just important one that learners are the people who are looking for the truth, not just absorbing information from people without selecting.
